First time and experienced anglers, sightseers, Mum, Dad, kids, Grandparents or the girls' day out, all are extremely welcome and gladly assisted by your owner/skipper and deckhand until all attain good ocean, reef and game fishing skills in a fun, family friendly atmosphere. Trips And Prices
Our 5 hour deep sea reef and game Gold Coast fishing charter fee is $90 per person. Two boarding times are available ~ 6.00am and 11.15am. We build the party to a maximum of 12 guests, i.e. singles, twos etc are no problem. Alternatively you can book the "whole boat" for your group only, the fee is $1020 for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays Our Monday to Friday (and non public holiday) SPECIAL is $960 for the "whole boat" for your guests only, i.e. $80ea when you bring 12 persons.
INCLUSIONS ON ALL TRIPS ARE - quality left or right handed Penn and Shimano rods and reels, tackle, bait, sunscreen, soft drinks, iced water, tea, coffee, biscuits, printed fish recipes, tips and assistance from your skipper and deckhand. Your legal captures can be released, shared or kept by you, your kept fish are bled, gutted, iced down and bagged.

Your skipper and fishing guide, Cap'n Bob Krojs (Australian born 1958) has skippered and fished an average of 300 Australian Gold Coast ocean, reef, deep-sea and game fishing trips per year since the opening of our safe Gold Coast Seaway in 1987.
This wealth of experience will show when you join us for your fishing adventure. Bob and his wife Maryanne are the Owners/skipper/operators of BK's Australian Gold Coast Fishing Charters and with their son Chris and daughter Rebecca as your deckhand the inherent professionalism and added service from being a "family business" cannot be surpassed. Our personal goal on every trip is to see everyone so happy with their days fishing, boating and sightseeing that they want to and do come back again and again.
Your boat for your trip is a fantastically safe and stable fishing platform, as used by many rescue authorities, it is a 10 meter/33 foot, Cougar Catamaran, named "Reef Cat 2". It is licensed to carry 12 guests. Built to government survey regulations, survey safety equipped, and fitted with the latest fishing electronics, it is a fast, (30 KNOTS), stable, twin hulled, wide bodied, twin engine boat with ample seating under a large roof area. It is powered by 2 quiet, smokeless Yamaha four stroke motors. Of particular note for the ladies, there is an enclosed, modern, electric flushing, highly sanitized, private toilet in the forward cabin. It is complemented with an electric, fresh running water tap with basin, liquid soap, mirror and disinfectant deodorizers.

BK's Fishing Techniques, Reef And Game Fishing.
We do fish all year round, (averaging around 300 trips per year since 1987) mainly over rocky reefs from the seaway/the entrance to the ocean to 11 kilometers from shore in depths from 10 to 48 meters for Mackerel, Cobia, Tuna, Snapper, Sharks, Wahoo, MahiMahi, Sailfish, Marlin and many other rocky reef fish.
As a general rule we fish where we had the best fishing the trip before. Our fishing techniques include simultaneous, multi level whole pilchard setting, live baiting/any fish caught that is of legal size, strip baiting/fillets of freshly caught legal fish, lure spinning/retrieving and lure trolling - whatever is working the best on the day. If unfamiliar, with those terms, don't let that "fish speak" worry you, we gladly assist/coach as required.
Autumn, winter and spring has comfortable mild weather, approximately 20 degrees centigrade, day temperature. Summer has typical tropical weather, often with cooling afternoon sea breezes giving approximately 30 degrees centigrade day temp. In summer and autumn we encounter more Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, MahiMahi, Spanish, School and Spotted Mackerel. Winter and Spring are our best times for Snapper, Tuna, monster Cobia/our largest @ 51 kgs and Sharks. Whaler sharks at around 3 meters in length are common, our biggest Whaler Shark bought to the boat and released was 5.1 meters long.
Our largest fish ever caught by a charter guest was a Great White Pointer, guesstimated by all onboard at over 6 meters, it was freed in excellent condition as soon as it was identified as they are endangered and protected.
