There are many highly productive reefs, shoals and wrecks around the Cape Moreton area. Flinders, Hutchies, Deep Tempest, Shallow Tempest, Caloundra Wide to name a few. Brennan and Roberts Shoals, plus a number of good old fashioned "secret spots" known only to the FIREBIRD crew. Snapper, Pearlies, Sweetlip are predominant with Parrot, Wrasse, Cod and numerous reef dwellers always on the menu. Yellow Kings, Dew and Cobia are often found in abundance in season. Moreton Island Fishing Charters onboard FIREBIRD, offers a selection of reef, sports and game fishing excursions in the waters of Moreton Bay and offshore waters from Caloundra to the southern end of Moreton Island. Caloundra Wide, Hutchinsons Shoals, Flinders Reef, Brennans and Roberts Shoals, Deep and Shallow Tempest are some of the highly productive reefs within our fishing areas along with other known wrecks and bombies.
All quality tackle is supplied along with lunch, tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks.
Black Marlin, Blue Marlin and Striped Marlin are undoubtedly the ultimate heavy tackle experience and these species are often found all year round in our waters off Cape Moreton. So too large Yellowfin - 40kg plus, and big Dolphin Fish hunt the deeper waters.
FIREBIRD is well equipped with heavy tackle "stand-up" gear and is available for this type of charter. Recommended for experienced anglers only, based entirely on weather and sea conditions.
