How to get there... The Tangalooma Resort Ferries leave the Brisbane River from Holt Street Brisbane three times a day. Departure times can be obtained by calling 1300 652 250. The MiCat is a state of the art passenger and vehicle ferry leaving the Port of Brisbane daily and landing at the Tangalooma Wrecks.   Marlin Fishing Lodge is a 2 bedroom, fully self-contained unit as part of a privately owned island dream home overlooking Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort and Moreton Bay.The unit has one queen size bed, two single beds, and two bunks, making it very comfortable for 2 to 4 people. Two extra children can be accommodated on the bunks. The unit is new and has all the "mod con's" to make your stay an enjoyable experience - refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, TV, DVD player, VCR, CD player, radio, and laundry with front load washing machine and dryer. While staying at Marlin fishing Lodge, you can enjoy all the facilities of Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort. Beautiful pools, restaurants, bars - all the activities provided by the resort and of course the magnificent beaches. There is the hire option to see the island by road, and water sports such as snorkelling, para-sailing, jet skiing and more.
Tangalooma is on beautiful Moreton Island, 45 minutes from Brisbane city. Moreton Island is a sand island and National Park, believed to be the tallest sand island in the world, situated right on our doorstep at Brisbane. Only 4WD vehicles are able to travel on Moreton Island, as there are only designated sand tracks and beach roads to travel on. Normal Queensland Road rules apply. Vehicles must have a National Parks permit to go on to the island. Permits may be obtained when booking on the MiCat.
