1st December 2010 - Haines Group Foam Filled Hulls.
You could argue that in turbulent economic times the trend is for consumers to look at the cheaper option for their major purchases. The trade off between ‘price’ and ‘quality’ is often measured by the consumer but ‘quality’ is usually the winner. In the trailer boat industry Signature boats has continued to out sell the competition despite having a higher price point. Signature continues to focus on a no-compromise attitude to the quality of it’s boats. They like to say they build up to a standard rather than down to a price. Why is this approach successful? It is because most of the boat buying public understand that you do get what you pay for. When reviewing the 2011 range of boats the Haines family decided to give customers more. Not content with already using the best quality materials, the Signature factory is now adding more of the options as standard.

Haines Signature Trailerable Fibreglass Australian Made Boats
For 25 years The Haines Group has been producing Australia'spremier trailerable fibreglass boat brand, Signature. Signature is a household name and is admired by boaties all over Australia and the around the world. Once you have been on the water in a Signature Variable Deadrise Hull (SVDHTM) no other trailer boat feels the same.
Watch the video to see why Signature has consistently won awards for 'Boat of the Year'. Our boats are built and designed in Australia for Australian conditions and the Australian lifestyle. Whether you are Fishing, Diving, Skiing, Wakeboarding, Tubing or just Cruising to the next beautiful destination there is a perfect Signature to suit you, your family and friends.
CRAFTSMANSHIP IS A FAMILY TRADITION. The Haines family company attributes our success in part to the Signature Benchmark Program™. The team’s maxim is to build every boat better than the last. For this, we use only the highest quality components like specially treated, finest grade Ruply™ marine ply – not just ordinary marine ply – for optimum structural stability. The superior grade fibreglass double-bias matting is finer, tighter and therefore stronger in its weave and uses less resin, so it’s lighter and less brittle.
Our choice of resin is almost 100% impervious to UV ray damage, there is negligible decomposition in colour or resin texture and therefore the highly polished finish lasts a lifetime. Stainless steel fittings, windscreens and your specified options are carefully attached and your Signature is then meticulously detailed. Finally, it is thoroughly inspected and rated against the Benchmark Program’s detailed checklist.

Who are The Haines Group?
Since starting out in the 1960’s, The Haines family of Brisbane have taken ‘messing about with boats’ to a whole new echelon – creating an enviable empire, which in its 50th year, is showing no signs of slowing down. Fortuitously for the company, recreational vessel ownership in South East Queensland alone has risen 20% since 2007, and with the country’s marine industry worth $5.5 billion, The Haines Group are in the prime position to survive a tough economic market and continue to support customers both old and new.
In the past decade, the marine industry magnate has undertaken a persistent buyout of rival companies, invested heavily in research and design launched new vessels and became the exclusive distributor of Suzuki outboards across Australia and New Zealand.
The 485SF Modern Boating Fishing Boat Of The Year 2009 Does what a tinnie does, only better.
A totally Practical boat. The ride is soft, quiet and it's an ideal fisher with a flat wash-down floor and has loads of options. There is space to move around, an ice chest, dry storage lockers & heaps of other useful places for your fishing gear. With a hull that planes sweetly with mimimum effort from your outboard and an optional console set up you have got the best of all worlds in one package.
Technology wise you will own the first of a new class of fibreglass boat that will out perform tinnies in every aspect. Using a process never before seen in whole boat manufacture, Resin Injection Vacuum Assist Low Emissions technology (RIVALETM), the end result is the next generation of the Australian made Australian icon... but stronger, lighter, quieter, smoother riding and great value for money.
A substantial $1.2million by the company coupled with federal funding allowed The Haines Group to develop a unique closed moulding manufacturing process which ensures product consistency and reduced styrene emissions, while improving product consistency and output at the same time.
Coined as Resin Injection Vacuum Assisted Low Emission (RIVALE™) technology, The Haines Group will use their exclusive technique for the future production of their fibreglass boat brands including Signature, Seafarer and Traveller.
“Because the emissions are well below world minimum standards, we can manufacture in Australia and keep jobs here unlike many companies in the USA and Europe who have moved their operations to third world countries due to no emission controls and cheap labour,” Greg Haines said.
After two years of research and development, The Haines Group have created a robust and virtually unsinkable 4.85m dinghy using RIVALE™ technology. The first of its kind, the fibreglass dinghy weighs 320kgs, can carry five passengers and can be ‘customised’ with numerous alternative configurations; a feat that has never been achieved by the marine industry before.
